A crowded highway is not a playground to practise evasive manoeuvres !
Beating the weekend traffic in Tokyo means getting up at 06:00 and leaving home at 07:00.
The fee for taking the highway on a weekday in Tokyo has gone up from ¥700 to ¥900 !
Easier for me to shoot when turning left ;-)
Still playing with filters in Lightroom ;-) The original was shot while driving from Tokyo to Yokosuka. There’s a stretch of the highway passing by an impressive succession of very large factories.
Kawaii ? By the way, I don’t think there’s another country on earth where you’ll find trucks as clean as here in Japan !
Lucky you : I have setup a gallery dedicated to Booth Babes :-) More images »
After reaching almost 50,000¥ for electricity in December, we decided to try something else for heating our house – at least partially. Kerosene heater are ubiquitous in Japan so why not ? The Kerosene costs about 100¥ per liter and can easily be found in gas stations. Also, this Aladdin model does not require any ...
Rainy weekend in Tokyo so finished the upgrade of the TT-01 chassis of my Datsun 240 with 1) yeah racing conversion kit, 2) 7.2V 3600mAh Ni-MH battery and 3) RS-540 Sport Tuned motor. No brush less motor and LiPo battery as those would be waste on such a “cheap” chassis. With the iPhone on, ready ...
Pretty girls in pretty Kimonos for the new year at a temple in Tokyo. For the connoisseurs, this picture belongs to my new gallery on Japanese Girls :-)
Both her feet are above the ground ! :D
A few more shots of our new toy, this time a night. Major crash yesterday as I tried to hide the antenna inside the body : quickly lost coverage… and control ! Next, I’ll fix my S95 on the chassis and drive around Kagurazaka :)
My new car ! :D
Still shooting while driving in Tokyo and still playing with filters in lightroom !
50mm/f1.2L in action in Kamakura, wow ! From a pure technical viewpoint, there are probably better and cheaper lenses out there, but artistically, it’s hard to beat.
Driving back from Kamakura. I love shooting randomly to entertain myself on long trips !
Upon popular request, here is another one :-)
I usually leave my photos untouched but thought I would give some lightroom filters a try. What do you think ? Should I post more or stop ? :)
One of the random shots I took while driving back from Kamakura. Not bad, no ? I especially like the tilt and vibrant colours ! There’s a stretch of the highway running in parallel to the monorail and I’ve always wanted to take a photo… Mission accomplished :)
Something fun in our bungalow in Vietnam. They call it Bali Style !
Straight from the camera. After a bit more than a month, I can now say that I really like my 50mm/f1.2L ! On par with another favourite lens of mine, the 16-35mm/f2.8L.
