Got some mud flaps installed on my BMW 3 Series Touring (F31). Very useful to keep the dirt away when driving in snow. In case you’re wondering, those wheels are BBS-SR with Michelin X-Ice Xi3, good looking wheels and fantastic tires.
When not congested, this is how driving on a highway in Japan often looks like : no-one in the middle lane, very slow cars in the left lane, slow cars in the right. Seldom any reaction to headlight flashing or getting closer to make the driver understand that you want to pass (as depicted above). […]
Got winter shoes for the lady (3 series touring, code name F31) : BBS SR in Himalaya Grey fitted with Michelin X-Ice Xi3. I first wanted to reuse my original wheels but the guy at the workshop said that with RFT, he will either damage the tire or the wheel, and could not guarantee keeping […]
Actually cheaper than a taxi for a group of people !
One needs motivation to go to the office and this might just do the trick !
Driving in a tunnel : always a good photo opportnity
Had a chance to take the new Lexus IS for a spin around the imperial palace. The Lexus IS 350 F-Sport is nice, very nice… All the pictures and short review (before a more complete test drive) on NihonCar.com soon. In the meantime, a very short clip showing how the Rev Counter physically moves at […]
Cute japanese car in Tokyo. That’s a Nissan Figaro.
An Audi R8 V10 Spyder teasing me near my house for a month now !
Had the pleasure to drive a Lexus RX450h for 650km during the weekend and I have just published my review on Nihoncar.
Our test and awesome pictures available on NihonCar :)
A disappearing sight in French countryside : the Citroën Méhari. The Méhari had a body made of ABS plastic with a soft-top and employed the 602 cc flat twin gasoline engine shared with the 2CV6, producing such a distinct melody. This one is a rare 4×4 Mehari (only 1,300 were produced). When it was launched, […]
The new Toyota Crown has arrived and I had a chance to review it for NihonCar :)
And here there are : my pictures of the 2013 edition of the Tokyo Auto Salon ! Enjoy :) Can you guess who was my favourite booth babe ? Shouldn’t be too difficult :D
Impressive demonstration of Drift at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The booth babes are coming… just have too many pictures to sort and select ;-)
While sorting my photos (have now done 2/3), I realised that it has been a while since I had a chance to go to a motor show in Tokyo. Pity, these shots always bring me a lot of visitors ! I wonder why… ;-)
Practising my motion blur skills during lunch break :)
After experiencing very bad service from Europcar two years in a row (including a free downgrade with the comment “take it or leave it, you have already paid anyway”), I gave Avis a try and surprise : for the first time ever, the advertised car of the category was the car they gave me, a […]
Ok, space is a scarce resource in Tokyo but you don’t have to make it that messy !
An interesting find in Tokyo MidTown’s parking : a Ferrari 400 ! The Ferrari 400 and Ferrari 412 are front-engined 2+2 coupé cars from Italian manufacturer Ferrari. They were available with 5-speed all synchromesh or an optional 3-speed automatic transmission unit from General Motors. Their design was derived from the almost identical looking 365 GT4 […]
A crowded highway is not a playground to practise evasive manoeuvres !
Another nice car from the Tokyo Motor Show 2011 ! According to BMW, the BMW i8 Concept is the next step in the evolution of the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept. The result: The most progressive and innovative sports car of its time. Its innovative plug-in hybrid concept combines the modified electric drive system from the […]
From the Tokyo Motor Show 2011 !
From the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show…
Yes, there were cars too at the Tokyo Motor Show ;-)
A rare find in the underground carpark of Tokyo Midtown : a BMW 2000ti, from the late 60s !
It has finally arrived… follow me over there !
Not too uncommon a view in Japan : a car whose owner is too old to drive and is left to die…
Nice photos of a nice car coming soon… stay tuned :-)
Thanks to Toyota and in cooperation with Akihabara News, soon some photos of the 2011 Toyota Safety Technology Media Tour at the Higashi-Fuji tech center.
