Space is precious in Tokyo. In many cases, the only possibility to have a garden is to place it on a roof.
Nothing quite like Japan in terms of architecture : such a mix of building sizes, shapes, colours, heights, ages. Ugly and messy at first sight, remarkable and well organised once you get used to it.
Whenever I drive by these two towers in Tokyo, they always remind me of the WTC Twin Towers.
Latest addition to Tokyo’s collection of skyscrapers. Need to go there to check the Sky Lobby out !
I am ready to bet that this crooked building will be one of the 390,000 that will be made uninhabitable when the big one strikes (according to the Science Ministry).

No wonder why my Audi Garage in Setagaya looks so nice : it was designed by Tadao Ando ! What’s not obvious from the photo is that the workshop is actually underground and the car takes a fancy lift to get down there.
Quite a typical view in a Japanese city : messy at first sight, but clean and organised once you pay attention to details.
Clearly over-priced when compared to the alternatives in the neighbourhood but considering that it’s the only hotel you can reach without even having to take a shuttle, we somehow always end up spending one night there before picking up a rental car to drive to Normandy.
