Enough already with AKB48 !
Fetching food for lunch at the combini is always a lot of fun. I don’t think I’ve ever stepped in a combini without buying something new to eat or to drink !
Glad to report that convenience store in Japan are getting their daily supply of fresh food. Although it is true that it was difficult to find a sandwich, bread or onigiri yesterday evening in Tokyo, saying that there are shortages of food or that Tokyo is panicking is a lie. So to the CNN and ...
Going to the combini is always an adventure and I rarely come back without something new to try. Last week I found some edamame (えだまめ). Not as bas as I thought it would be and only 90kCal (the financier I often buy is around 250kCal).
Look what I found at the combini : tapioca coconut milk. Love it… It’s ironic to think that in one japanese combini, the choice of food and drinks offered is larger than in an entire Finnish supermarket (had been living in Finland for 5 years).
Always something new to eat or drink at the combini ! Apple Nouveau from Kirin is sparking apple tea. Not too bad, but not too good either ;-)
Always something new to eat or drink at the combini ! Red Ginger from Suntory is red ginger ale. Nothing too exceptional and still far from the strong and spicy taste of real ginger ale.
Suntory All-Free : no alcohol, no calories. Blatant demonstration that beer needs both to be good! This should not be sold together with beer ;-)
Looks bad but was told it was good… I think it just tastes how it looks ! ;-)
One thing to love about Japan: the combinis ! Combini is the Japanese term for convenience store. Often open 24h a day and 7 days a week, they are the answer to whatever you need at anytime of the day… especially food and drinks ;-)
Another day off in Japan this week – Cheers ! :D
Japanese brewries regularly come up with limited editions to boost sales. This is the Autumn Beer from Kirin, “rich taste of autumn” – nothing exceptional if you ask me.
Tetsu-wan Teeth Project : POs-Ca 歯のためのガム – for the benefit of the teeth. Another disappointment: the advertised super strong mint is not super strong at all! Now, can you recognise the face on the package?
あまりおいしくない、tasteless… Next !
Waiting for your instant noodles by h-concept.
Chocolat brewery is made from roasted malt and cacao, having the characteristic of aromatic chocolate flavour and bitter taste. Quite close to a Guinness if you ask me!
New combination of soda and chocolate flavour. Reminds me of the mix of Coke and Benco I did when I was a kid.
To drink before drinking. May the strength of Chikara help you for the Bonenkai series!
Japanese Refreshing Flavor Not as bad as I thought it would be…
Another find at the combini :-)
