Back from Kamakura, on our way for a warm dip in an onsen, a short stop on the seaside of Kanagawa to greet Fujisan on this 1st of January 2013 :) Without any visual reference, it’s hard to realise how massive Fujisan is, so I added the 2nd shot.
Wishing you all, dear followers, a wonderful new year 2013 !
Look at what an idiot did in order to prevent people from sitting on his precious fence !
Just an espresso, like I like them. But why the sugar, this is rather insulting ! :D
My favourite shots from our visit to the newly opened Sumida Aquarium in Tokyo. Complete HD gallery available over there : Sumida Aquarium Pictures.
Beautiful sunset over Fujisan on this Christmas Day !
Evening stroll in Ginza with the folks, perhaps my 2nd time in 6 years to set foot in Ginza at night.
Splendid view from the Bunkyo Civic Center for Christmas !
One of the fellow photographer at the observation platform of the Bunkyo Civic Center last evening. A lot more than usual, perhaps the reason why a guard was going around reminding people that tripods were forbidden. I honestly did not know, last time I was there, we were shooting Tokyo SkyTree for almost 30min without ...
Merry Christmas to you all ! :)
December 23rd : Santa Claus was roaming the streets of Tokyo on his bike. Awesome :D
I knew it would be a painful morning so to lighten the mood, I took my 135mm along. One shot made my day, can you guess which one ?
Now reaching year 2010 of my picture cleaning process and found this shot I like a lot of a breakfast in a (the?) Japanese Onsen : Ginzan Onsen Fujiya.
Jogashima is also well known for its harbour, fish market and excellent sea food !
Apparently, some were even more bored than I was in Narita as they decided to tape the parking lot to renew the white lines on the asphalt !
Passing by Marunouchi at night, around 17:00 in Tokyo ! Framing sucks but try holding a 5D Mark III + 24-70mm lens with one hand while driving ;-)
Killing time in Narita while waiting for my guests ! Luckily there is a lot to look at… and yes, she was stunning ! :D
Because the majority of voters wanted some meta deta overlay but because a minority expressed the rather strong view that it should be non-intrusive, I did a bit of research and found a way to satisfy both camps. The trick was to use the Display EXIF plugin in combination with the original picture from Flickr ...
Probably next in line for demolition.
Nice guests = nice deserts ! :) By the way, my settings are now embedded, let me know if that’s something that you’re interested in (I have had people requesting it but do not know how the majority feels).
A blatant demonstration of why one should always carry his/her camera : a group of pretty Japanese girls dressed in Kimono waiting for their train in Iidabashi.
