She can play the guitar too ! Well, not really, but she really enjoyed it :D
Jogashima is also well known for its harbour, fish market and excellent sea food !
Always a feast at our favourite Ramen place :)
Celebrating Naoko’s Shichigosan at Tokyo Daijingu :) Shichi-Go-San (七五三, lit. “Seven-Five-Three”) is a traditional rite of passage and festival day in Japan for three- and seven-year-old girls and three- and five-year-old boys, held annually on November 15 to celebrate the growth and well-being of young children. Happy Halloween from Zombie Naoko (who was playing stupid while queueing at Disneyland).
A 6 years old drawing a sweet potato – Japanese style !
Cannot believe she turned 6 already !
Commuting with JR in Tokyo can be fascinating (and not only for a 5 years old as pictured above). There is often a large glass at the back of the driving cabin, allowing passengers to see what’s happening in the cabin, as well as the train tracks.
Playing with a pinwheel that a grandpa made her in a park. That grandpa was a genius, he was entertaining a flock of kids with his gimmicks.

On a sunny day in Shinjuku Gyoen : plenty of old women drawing while their male counter-parts are more inclined to practise their photographic skills. My daughter favours the formers for interacting :D
Naoko with her hat on Sunday. Lovely series :)
At Mermaid Café in Kagurazaka. Now that I am writing this, I realise why the Mermaid !
Difficult to take serious photos of her when she’s aware of being photographed :-)
I personally prefer playing games in English but for the little one I switched the system to French so that we can both play and have fun :D On the subject of XBox, the Youtube “app” is quite disappointing, no HD + content restriction makes me wonder… WTF Microsoft and Google !? Why making it ...
Naoko enjoying her second year in beautiful Niseko. They broadcast some music on the ski tracks, so that’s why she also dances :D
Back in Tokyo after 4 wonderful days of skiing and snowboarding in Hokkaido. Probably going to take us a week to recover from awfully aching muscles ! So in the coming week, stay tuned for more pictures of Niseko and apologies in advance if you don’t like snow, food and skiing… :D
Preparing something…
A trip to Owakudani would not be complete without eating a black egg or kurotamago (黒タマゴ), the world most famous egg, which expands your longevity by 7 years ! Unfortunately, the path to the boiling crater was closed due to heavy snow and ice, so just some photos of someone enjoying eating them :-)
