After one week of crappy food in Madrid, it’s good to be back home :) Could not resist going to one excellent restaurant a few steps away from home in Kagurazaka, Tokyo.

One would think that having to deal with so many different characters would have lead to the replacement of chinese characters (kanji) by something a bit more practical to deal with.
Marimokkori (まりもっこり) is a character popularized in Hokkaidō, Japan. Much like the Tamagochi, Marimokkori’s name is a bit of word-play, as marimo is the word for the green algae clusters that grow in some of Hokkaidō’s lakes and "mokkori" is a Japanese slang term for… well I let you guess ;-) wikipedia
