Perhaps Kusatsu Onsen looks even better on a cold rainy day like this ! Last time we visited Kusatsu was in summer last year : Kusatsu Onsen on Image Japan.
I especially like the mood in that one : timid sun peering through green leaves after the rain. 50mm at f/1.2 – but that probably goes without saying ;-)
Autumn has finally arrived in Tokyo ! 10C drop in one day + heavy rain : the transition was hard but welcome.
So in Japan an heavy rain sounds like ザア – zaa . I just hope today’s zaa wasn’t the start of the rainy season !
On our way to Izu for the Golden Week : night, rain and traffic jams !
Nice name for a toilet paper brand :D
Spells the end of the hanami season in Tokyo.
Was already raining quite a lot last night but this morning, it became even worse and had no other choice but to take the car to bring my daughter to her daycare.
Rainy day in Tokyo (finally!), so have to walk my daughter to her daycare. What usually takes me 5 min on a bicycle becomes a 20 min walk, punctuated – towards the end – by “I’m tired”, “Please carry me”, “Take my bag”… Quite tough for her little legs I suppose :D
At the end of an interesting drive under the rain, we were supposed to see a 5 stages waterfall with various temples and shrines – which was what kept us going under the rain on such a small road. Unfortunately, what we did not know was that we could not see the waterfall right away: ...
This was our experience off the main roads in Shikoku. Unfortunately the most interesting parts are missing as I could not drive and take photos when two hands were absolutely required on the steering wheel !
So as the owner ;-)
The rainy season with its series of Typhoons has arrived in Japan.
Give me a break: the rainy season ran late and now typhoons are coming early? Where’s my summer gone?
University students with tennis gears.
A bit of sunshine between two downpours. Two or three weeks more and the rainy season (tsuyu) will be over.
Only a few drivers realise that it’s not because there’s no fog that rear fog lights can’t be used. Heavy rain with poor visibility is also a valid use case.
Avoid Japan if you can !
Avoid Japan if you can !
No competition possible ! ;-)
